Platform

Operated in Germany. On our own hardware.

Imperia runs as a dedicated instance for your company — in German data centres, on hardware that belongs to us. Or on your own premises, if you prefer.

Germany only

Customer data is held exclusively in German data centres. Processing under Art. 28 GDPR.

A dedicated instance

Every customer gets their own container with their own certificate, separated at network level. No shared database.

Backed up daily

Encrypted, immutable backups at a second site, kept for 30 days.

Watched around the clock

We monitor the platform with the same tool you use for your customers.

Hosting

Six data centres, two sites, one country.

Imperia runs on dedicated hardware at a German operator — six data centres at two sites, Nuremberg and Falkenstein. The data centres are certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022.

  • Connectivity of at least 120 Gbit/s each, with peering at the major exchanges.
  • Protection at the edge through permanently active protection against overload attacks, ahead of the firewall and the load balancers.
  • Resilience through load-balancer failover, replication within the cluster and reserve capacity for the loss of a whole facility.
  • Administrative access only over VPN with a second factor, logged without gaps.

ISO/IEC 27001:2022

Certification of the data centres, confirmed by an independent auditor.

Backup

Daily, encrypted, immutable.

Every night each database is backed up consistently, together with configuration, certificates and keys. The backup is held encrypted and immutable at a second site, and additionally as a copy in our own data centre in Ulm.

  • 30 days of retention, then automatic deletion at both sites.
  • Checked daily and logged; restores are rehearsed regularly.
  • Separated from production, logically and physically.
  • Recovery of a single instance usually within minutes.

30 days

Retention of every backup, at two sites, encrypted and immutable.

Operating model

As a service from us — or on your own premises.

Most customers let us run Imperia: a dedicated instance, a dedicated address, nothing to administer. If you have your own requirements, you get the same software as an image to run yourself.

  • Your own address for your instance, at a URL of your choosing if you wish.
  • White label all the way to the endpoint: your product name, your logo, your colour.
  • Updates are applied by us; running it yourself, you choose the moment.
  • Agents update themselves from the distribution network, with a checksum and a fallback.

Your brand

Product name, logo, colour and icon — in the cockpit, in reports, in e-mails and on the endpoint.

Common questions about the platform

Where is the data held?

Exclusively in Germany, in data centres at two sites. There is no processing in third countries.

Do several customers share a database?

No. Every customer instance runs in its own unprivileged container with its own database and its own TLS certificate.

How do we get our data if we want to leave?

Through the REST API and, on request, as a database export. There is no technical obligation to stay.

Can we run Imperia ourselves?

Yes. You get the same software as a container image from our registry. The licence is the same.

What happens during an outage?

The load balancers switch over, instances are replicated within the cluster. For the loss of a whole data centre there is reserve capacity and rehearsed recovery plans.
